Dr. Böhm Böhmat

When the worlds best one-finger accompaniment unit "Böhmat" appeared in 1972, this was a small sensation. There was the semi automatic drums with six instruments, the full automatic drums with 20 rhymes (many many other rhymes were possible by combining) and the one-finger accompaniment unit Böhmat. Besides from the built in version with additional manual for the Böhm organs, there was also a stand alone unit available, the Böhmat Compact.

The real interesting thing on the Böhmat is its multiple rank sound. Because this the accompaniment sound really "organ like". You only have to press one key on the Böhmat manual (for minor/ septt chords two keys) and the Böhmat produces five rank accompaniment with drums. The lab construction from Böhm illustrates the technological masterpiece.

In 1974 the new Böhmat S was launched. The controls are now located in front of the lower manual and the additional manual was integrated directly into the lower manual.

or as designer version Böhmat Compact Sextett with special high frequency speaker, 150W amplifier and speaker.

In 1978 the last multiple rank version of the one finger accompaniment unit was brought out: the Böhmat 78. The most technical differences on the drums were more safety (modul technology). The accompaniment was completely rebuilt.(other/ more instruments, more bass and chord arpeggiator).

The Böhmat was replaced by the Böhmat Orchestra, the Chopin 2001 and the Digital Drums.
